Groucho Marx (1890-1977) was a famous American comedian, actor and writer known for being the leader of the Marx brothers. Born as Julius Henry Marx in New York Groucho began his career in the entertainment industry as a singer and comedian in the Vaudeville shows of the early twentieth century. Together with his brothers Harpo, Chico, Gummo and Zeppo Groucho became an iconic figure of cinema and television, known for his irreverent humor and his unmistakable style, which included his mustache, his glasses and his cigar.
